The star function (or at least one of them) of the new iPhone X were the animojis: What can be more fun than turning an emoji into something exact to your face, with your gestures, your grimaces and more? In addition to FaceID, the animojis will land, sooner or later, on all Android terminals, as well as the facial unlocking that we already see in some devices such as the OnePlus 5T. And one of those that will have this fun function will be Samsung's new flagship, the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S9, from which rumors and more rumors do not stop arriving.
3D emojis and stereo speakers for the new Samsung Galaxy S9
According to the technology information page Android Authority, the new leak about the Samsung Galaxy S9 is related to the creation of 3D emoticons based on the technology of the front camera. The name of Samsung's 3D emoticons has yet to be revealed, but their operation would be exactly the same as that of their animoji counterparts: the selfie camera captures the user's face, gestures, grimaces, laughs, etc., and applies them to a Completely new emoticon (can be an animal or a typical yellow emoji face). Then we can send our own emoticons to our friends.
This is one of the biggest leaks of today, coupled with the fact that we are likely to finally see stereo speakers on this Samsung phone. The Samsung Galaxy S9 will probably carry dual speakers, one placed on the top of the team and the other at the bottom. With this new location, the volume problems that some terminals tend to have due to the location of their only loudspeaker would end: sometimes it is covered by our own hands. One more incentive for gamers and for those who constantly consume multimedia content on their phones.
Specifically, the stereo speakers could have Dolby Surround technology and would also be developed by AKG, a brand owned by Samsung and specialized in headphones.
Other rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S9
The design of this new Samsung Galaxy S9 will be practically traced to the previous Samsung Galaxy S8. Where we are going to see notable differences, how could it be otherwise, is in the performance and cameras section. Regarding its new processor, this will be, in the European market, the Exynos 9810, which according to some performance tests could surpass the Snapdragon 845 in power. 8 cores of which 4 would be dedicated to energy efficiency and the other 4 to equipment performance, reaching a clock speed of 2.9 GHz.
This processor also has integrated learning thanks to an Artificial Intelligence module or neural network. This means that the mobile will 'learn' from its owner's use, adapting its performance and its tools to that use. Also, this new processor will allow the user to download at a higher speed (1.2 GBps download and 900 MB upload) and will have a specific codec to improve image stabilization of the camera and improve focus, among other aspects.
If we take a look at the cameras, the main one would have 12 megapixels with a focal aperture of 1.5 so it will be one of the phones on the market that captures more light, improving night shots. The selfie camera will continue to have the 8 MP of the previous model.
Soon we will get rid of doubts, since the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + will be presented within the MWC that will be held, in Barcelona, from February 26 to March 1.
