When Samsung presented the Note 7 in society all eyes were on the new coral blue color. A color that had not been seen in any other device of the company and that, thanks to the glass design of the Samsung flagship, looked really good. Following the disappearance of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the company announced that it would launch a version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in coral blue. And it did, but only in some countries. Now, finally, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in coral blue is now available in Europe, including our country. The new color is already listed on the Samsung Spain website, so in a few days we will be able to acquire it.
Samsung has brought to the Galaxy S7 edge the new coral blue color that it debuted with the Note 7. The design is the same, that is, a nice coral blue color on the front and back of the terminal, with the frames that surround the device in gold. Otherwise, the design is exactly the same as we have seen in other colors. We have a front with a curved screen on the sides and a glass back that also curves slightly to the sides for easy grip. On the front we find the typical Samsung oval home button that hides the fingerprint reader. The screen is made up of aSuper AMOLED panel of 5.5 inches with a resolution of 2560 x Quad HD 1,440 pixels. As an extra we have the new "Always On Display" functionality, which allows us to see notifications without unlocking the terminal.
Inside the coral blue Samsung Galaxy S7 edge we find the same hardware configuration as in the other models, that is, an eight-core Exynos 8890 processor, four running at 2.3 GHz and the other four running at 1.6 GHz. 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. This capacity can be expanded using a microSD card of up to 256 GB. Regarding autonomy, we have a 3,600 milliamp battery capable of preventing us from going through the charger for up to two full days with moderate use.
Another of the strengths of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is its photographic set, which, despite having been on the market for almost a year, is still one of the best in the high-end range. The main chamber consists of a dual 12 megapixel sensor and f / 1.7, capable of recording video at 30fps 4K resolution. The brighter f / 1.7 aperture lens and its 1.4µm larger pixels allow more light to be captured, while the use of Dual Pixel (as Samsung has called its dual sensor technology) allows for virtually instantaneous focusingeven in low light conditions. You can see the result of the photographs in our in-depth test of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
As we mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in coral blue is already listed on the Samsung website, but it cannot yet be officially purchased. We understand that it will be available in the next few days. The official price of the device is 820 euros, but surely the best-known online stores can find it with a lower price.
