The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active seems to be getting closer and closer to becoming a reality. In fact, a recent leak in the form of video has allowed us to know that one of the novelties of this terminal would be a completely customizable button located on the side of the case. This button could be configured from the mobile settings by specifying even the application that we want to open when a short press is made and the application that we want to open when a longer press on the button is performed.
But before proceeding with this leak it is important that we know that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is the new edition of the Samsung Galaxy S5 presented at the beginning of this year. This new version would be mainly intended for extreme environments (see for example high mountain sports), since the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active would incorporate an off-road design as standard designed to withstand strong impacts against the ground. Although there is no official confirmation that could certify its existence, everything seems to indicate that its presentation will take place in a matter of a few weeks.
Returning to the customizable button on the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, what is really interesting about a novelty like this is that the user could access different applications without having to unlock the screen. Taking into account that we are talking about a mobile phone intended for extreme environments (in which we can find ourselves involved in situations in which we need to wear, for example, gloves), such a button is an added convenience that allows us to use the terminal without the need for more complications.
According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active will incorporate a 5.2-inch screen with Super AMOLED resolution. Inside we find a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 of four cores together with a memory RAM of 2 gigabytes. The internal storage capacity is of 16 gigabytes (probably through an expandable external memory card microSD), and the main chamber will incorporate a sensor 16 megapixels should guarantee to spectacular snapshots in any scenario.
As in the case of the Samsung Galaxy S5, this new edition would also be waterproof and even everything seems to indicate that the IP67 certification would be improved to offer greater resistance when submerging the terminal in deeper distances. It also seems to be confirmed that the front of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active will consist of three touch buttons that will replace the virtual buttons that we find in the conventional edition of this mobile, something that would also be intended to facilitate the handling of the terminal in extreme situations.
