The samsung galaxy s4 mini and four other samsung phones could be updated to android 4.4 this month
A new leak has just revealed a new document - apparently signed by the South Korean company Samsung - which specifies through a list the five phones that will receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update throughout this month of June. In this list appears one of the mobiles that has caused the most controversy regarding its possible update to the most recent version of the Android operating system: the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, the compact edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
According to this leak, the complete list of Samsung mobiles that will receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update throughout this month of June is as follows: Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Duos, Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo and Samsung Galaxy S4. Apparently, these five smartphones would already have their respective update ready with the most recent version of the Android operating system, so it is only a matter of time before Samsung begins to officially publish the respective updates for each of these terminals.
Of course, we must bear in mind that the document that appears in this leak has its origin in India, so that the dates of the updates for the European market could be slightly different. Still, what will probably not change is the order in which Samsung smartphones receive updates: first the free versions, and then the versions purchased under an operator.
A curious fact in this document is the mention that appears regarding the intentional version of the Samsung Galaxy S3. According to this report, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the smart version of this smartphone has been canceled. We do not know if it is a cancellation that only affects India or if, instead, it also has something to do with the European market.
On the other hand, remember that these types of updates are usually notified directly to mobile phones through a notification. For this reason, it is recommended that we arm ourselves with patience to wait for the arrival of the respective update of our terminal. From time to time we can access the Settings application, enter the " About device " section and click on "System update " to manually check if there is an update available that has not yet been notified to us from the center of notifications. To download and install an update it is recommended to use the WiFi connection, in addition to being highly advisable to have a autonomy greater than70% battery to avoid crashes and unexpected reboots during the most critical phase of the update (that is, the installation of the file).
