Following the line of previous launches, the latest flagship of the South Korean firm Samsung points to the trend of seeing life in pink, as Edith Piaf would say. It is not that the flagship device of the firm (with the permission of the Samsung Galaxy Note) has started to sing in French ways, but, like other models that preceded it, it can already be achieved with a showy pink outer casing bubble gum.
At the moment, as we know from Sammy Hub, this striking special edition of the Samsung Galaxy S2 can only be obtained in the natural homeland of the device, that is, in South Korea. However, we already know from previous releases that the firm always ends up exporting the pink edition of its terminals to the main international markets, including Spain. It is something that happened with the first generation Samsung Galaxy S, for example.
It has not been communicated what price the Samsung Galaxy S2 will have in pink, so it can be assumed that the firm will not vary the acquisition cost of this edition, as it did not with the model that had a white casing (and which we know from Unwired View, has sold to date on the order of 850,000 units, and that only in South Korea).
For the rest, the bubblegum-pink model of the Samsung Galaxy S2 retains the same features of any other Samsung Galaxy S2 that can be obtained today on the market (remember: there are two editions depending on the color of the housing, either white or in the classic black with which it was released). Thus, we find a phone equipped with a 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen and a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S2 installs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, although the manufacturer has already confirmed that this terminal is among those that will be compatible with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) sometime in 2012. It also continues to carry an eight megapixel camera that allows us to capture video in FullHD quality with a rate of 30 frames per second.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 also has a microUSB 2.0 port compatible with an MHL adapter, with which we could connect the terminal to a compatible television or monitor to share high definition images through the screen's HDMI input.
