Suddenly, the guys from South Korean Samsung have thought of expanding the target audience for the Samsung Galaxy S2. And it is that as we have learned through SammyHub, an upcoming update on the Samsung Galaxy S2 would bring, among other news, an increase in the icons of the official Samsung layer for their devices, the TouchWiz.
In total, the icons would grow 30 percent. And of course, the increase is more than evident in the previous ones published by the site specialized in information about the Korean firm's products. So much so, that it even seems to be an adaptation of the screen of the company's smallest mobiles after being exposed to the magnifying glass. Whoever has held the first Samsung Wave, for example, can get an idea.
The most important consequence of the increase in icons would be a redistribution of spaces. Thus, in the main interface, there would no longer be four main accesses (calls, messages, contacts and applications), ignoring the agenda icon. Thus, the grid would go from being four by four squares to three by three. You lose in space, but you gain visibility.
It is very possible that Samsung's decision was made after finding out that a group of users with visual problems (either those with conditions not linked to age, or precisely by others for which the years have already taken its toll) did not finish hit with the icons of the Samsung Galaxy S2. And that they are already generous in themselves.
In any case, if you're happy with your usual TouchWiz cape, don't worry. The update of will bring with it the increase in the icons will not step on the current interface, so it would introduce the new configuration as an option. In such a case, run by the user's decision to install the new view or follow which already had.
By the way, that another small news would bring the update (which still has no date to be released). It would consist of an option to update the firmware of the Samsung Galaxy S2 via OTA, that is, without cables. However, this option has us a bit puzzled, since the Samsung Galaxy S2 offers this option as standard through the system information panel.
Despite everything, and even thinking about users interested in this terminal although not too knowledgeable in this of managing a smartphone, the presence of an icon dedicated to this task would simplify things for the new target audience that Samsung would be considering loyalty.
