The new Samsung Galaxy S10, among its most celebrated novelties, we find a fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen, with ultrasonic technology, capable of unlocking the terminal by just briefly placing your finger and then releasing it. At least, this was demonstrated by Samsung in the official presentation of the terminal. Something that, however, did not finish materializing in the first units put on sale, as the first to have the mobile in their hands assured.
Update the fingerprint sensor on your Samsung Galaxy S10
To solve this problem, Samsung has already gotten down to work and has just released a new software improvement patch to correct the unlock delay with its new ultrasonic fingerprint detection system. The new update patch only has a weight of 7 MB and all users who have already been able to install it assure that the unlock speed is much faster than before installing. And not only that, but, now, said fingerprint sensor is more reliable and accurate than before.
This new patch of improvements will reach Samsung Galaxy S10 users through version 2.0.8.4 of the fingerprint application and is compatible with both the versions with a Snapdragon 855 processor and the version sold in Europe that carries a processor brand of the house Exynos 9820. You can check the version you currently have installed on your mobile by going to the settings, then entering the 'Biometrics and security' section and, finally, 'Biometric preferences'. This update is also being carried out on the Samsung Galaxy S10 + and the youngest of the range, the Samsung Galaxy 10e, although it does not have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The update should reach your terminal via OTA (that is,without you doing anything and by means of a notification) although if you prefer to search for it by hand you can do it in the Samsung Galaxy Store application store.
The user must bear in mind that he may experience delays when receiving the OTA update depending on whether he uses a released mobile or has been acquired through an operator rate.
