The war of the cameras on smartphones seems to have no end. The Huawei P20 Pro launched at the beginning of the year was the first mobile to have three rear cameras and two front cameras. Months later, there have been various rumors that have predicted mobiles even with five rear cameras, such as the Nokia 9. Now it seems that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be the next phone to have the same camera arrangement as the Huawei P20 Pro. This is confirmed by a leak through a medium from South Korea.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus could have five cameras
There are several months until we can see Samsung's Galaxy S10 and the first rumors and leaks of the next flagship of the South Korean brand are already beginning to emerge. These last weeks, for example, we have seen how the implementation of an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the phone screen has been confirmed, in addition to a rumor that claims that it will have the same design as the Galaxy S9. A few minutes ago a new one about the photographic section of the S10 has appeared in a reputed technological medium.
The leak comes directly from ETNews, one of the most famous South Korean media in the country. Specifically, it is specified that the most powerful model of all will have a total of five cameras, three in the back and two in the front. This same configuration would be repeated in the Samsung Galaxy S10, not being the case in a supposed Lite version, which would have two cameras on the back and one on the front. Regarding the characteristics of the alleged cameras, technical details of them are not yet known. The various rumors suggest that there will be three sensors based on RGB, telephoto and wide-angle technologies, in the same way as in the LG V40 that will be presented next month.
At the moment, as we just mentioned, it is too early to give credibility to these types of leaks. However, taking into account that the main manufacturers will have such a configuration, it is not ruled out that Samsung decides to implement three sensors in its flagship. Huawei and LG have already taken the step with both the Mate and P20 range and the V range, and it seems that Samsung will be the next with its main high-end phones.
