The arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S10 is getting closer and closer. The amount of news, rumors and leaks of the mentioned model is a good indication of this. Yesterday, for example, we could see the possible design of the terminal in one of the most realistic renderings to date. The latest rumor comes to us through the well-known Sammobile page. And, according to various sources, Samsung's Galaxy S10 could permanently eliminate the iris sensor that had been accompanying the S and Note range since the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 would only have an on-screen sensor and face unlock
The most anticipated launch in mobile technology after the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro is the South Korean's Galaxy S10. And it is not for less, because according to various media, it will be the first all-screen mobile on the market that will have an all-screen design without sliding mechanisms or notches on the top. This same hand we receive new information from the aforementioned device, which reveals an important absence.
According to the Sammobile website, the Galaxy S10 could be the first high-end of the company to eliminate the iris sensor. The reason is due to the all-screen design of the terminal and the tiny size of its frames, which would not allow an advanced iris unlock system to be integrated. In fact, the S10 is expected to have only and exclusively an on-screen fingerprint sensor and a front camera as a face unlock. Recall that according to the latest rumors, the next flagship of the brand will integrate the front camera sensor within the screen itself, making it impossible, again, the integration of other sensors related to 3D or iris unlocking. Of course, the notification LED would also go down in history, being a component that occupies a good region of space.
As for the models "affected" by this decision, Sammobile says that practically the entire Galaxy S line will eliminate the aforementioned sensors from the front. This makes us think that both the Galaxy S10 Lite, the Galaxy S10 + and of course, the Galaxy S10, will have the same all-screen design, which is undoubtedly excellent news. What is not yet known is whether all the models will have a fingerprint sensor on the screen or if on the contrary it will only be reserved for the Plus model, as with the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. In this sense, we will have to wait to new leaks to confirm this data.
