The successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, seems to be closer and closer to becoming a reality considering the large number of rumors that are appearing in recent days. The last of these rumors, coming from a source completely unrelated to the South Korean company Samsung, has revealed to us that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could hit stores in the form of several different editions. And one of these editions could incorporate a feature that we have been talking about for a long time: the curved screen.
This latest rumor, coming from a Korean technological medium, indicates that Samsung will present more than one edition of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4. In addition to the conventional version destined for the main markets, the South Koreans could also present a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with a curved screen destined mainly for very specific markets (probably the US market and the European market). If the rumors are correct, this presentation will take place during the next IFA technology event that takes place worldwide during the month of September.
The reason why Samsung would limit the launch of a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with the curved screen only to certain markets would be mainly due to the difficulties currently faced by mass-producing curved AMOLED- type screens. Therefore, in the event that this rumor were true, we would probably have to wait a long time to receive in the Spanish market this edition with the curved screen of one of the most important Samsung flagships.
If we look at the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that have been filtering in recent weeks we will see that everything seems to indicate that this new smartphone will feature a screen of 5.7 inches to reach a resolution QHD of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The processor is still a question mark, although the possibilities are between a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and an Exynos processor. It has also been known that the main camera will incorporate a sensor 16 megapixels, which would greatly exceed the 13 megapixel with which we are in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
There are also rumors that point to the possibility that Samsung has decided to significantly change the design of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 compared to the previous Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Although there is no clear information on this, we could find a terminal notably different from its predecessors (and not only because of the curved screen edition, but also because of the conventional edition that will reach all markets).
For now we have no choice but to wait until the month of September to, in the event that this terminal is officially presented, fully know all its technical specifications. We will also see if Samsung maintains the price that we are already accustomed to in smartphones in this range (just over 700 euros for the Spanish market).
