The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has become one of the new jewels in the Samsung catalog. The president of the Korean firm has just announced through a country's media that the third generation of this phablet has already exceeded the great figure of five million units sold, a milestone that has been consolidated just a month after arriving to the market. The data, of course, requires to be compared with the sales figures achieved with the first generation of this smartphone . The original Samsung Galaxy Note did not exceed five million units until five months after reaching the world, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the previous generation of the model in question, reached three million units during the first month of availability. The five million materialized from the second month. The fact is that between one version and another, Samsung has managed to sell a whopping more than 38 million units of the famous Note.
But this is not the only team that is consolidating its success in the firm's catalog. Without going any further, the current Samsung flagship, dubbed the Samsung Galaxy S4, has already exceeded 40 million units sold. In this case, the fourth generation of the Galaxy S seems destined for a much wider audience when compared to the phablets , still reserved for a specialized audience, eminently professional and skilled in new technologies. Do not lose sight of the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S4 reached 10 million units in the first month alone.
Meanwhile, some voices point to a stagnation in sales, a fact that would motivate - always according to rumors - an advance in the presentation of the next Samsung Galaxy S5. And although these reasons do not respond to any certain criteria (much less an official statement by the company) it seems that there is a possibility that this new smartphone will be presented in January 2015.
With regard to its technical characteristics, the Samsung Galaxy S5 could work through a 64-bit Exynos processor, with an eight-core architecture and an important complement of 4 GB of RAM. It would be the Exynos 6 series, much more complete and prepared to offer superior performance. But this is not all we know about this new smartphone . Everything suggests that the company will integrate a very interesting feature into this equipment: a sensor that would be capable of detecting eye movement. Users could take advantage of this option to unlock the device(among other functions) safely. Much more than with the fingerprint sensors that manufacturers such as Apple or HTC have already integrated into their respective iPhone 5S and HTC One Max.
For the rest, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy S5 would also have a 16 megapixel camera, spiced up with an important collection of smart tools and functions. In addition, if the rumors are finally true, the team could be prepared to resist elements as harmful as water and dust for smartphones . We will see if these forecasts come true later. For the moment, Samsung remains in the strictest of silences.
