This time the lucky one is the 2016 Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, a terminal that was launched in September 2016 and today is receiving the latest version of Android Oreo 8.1.

It seems incredible that a device from two years ago continues to be updated, and more if we talk about one belonging to the mid and low range. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2016 has been the last Samsung terminal to update to Android Oreo, and today some of its users are already receiving the aforementioned update to their devices.
This was confirmed by the GSMArena website a few minutes ago. An anonymous source has shared with the web some screenshots of the aforementioned update to Android Oreo, and it seems that it is already reaching a large part of the terminals. Specifically, the model of the captures is the 16 GB version of the Galaxy J7 Prime, however, it is expected that it will reach all versions of the homonymous model.
The update is also expected to reach both Spain and Latin America in the coming days in a phased manner, as usually happens with Samsung updates.

Regarding the news of this version, Android Oreo includes the latest stable version of Samsung Experience 9.5, that is, the same as in the Samsung Galaxy S9.
Some of the most outstanding features are the redesign of the native launcher, as well as some of its icons. Also multitasking and the notification system has been renewed with more modern lines. Regarding the rest of the news, we can find some such as the new improved keyboard (more accurate predictions and flatter interface) and a customizable lock screen, in addition to several screen settings related to reducing visual fatigue and the integration of new codecs audio.
Worth noting is that the weight of the ROM is about 1038 MB, so it is expected that quite a few changes will be introduced.
