It seems that most of the news today has to do with Samsung. And it is not for less, because yesterday one of the most interesting conferences of the year on mobile telephony was held. The main novelty of this conference was Samsung's flexible mobile, which had a series of interesting features such as the double folding screen or its interface adapted to this type of panel. Few are the details that were revealed about this phone beyond the screen size and its technologies. Thanks to new statements by the brand we can know one of the details that are most expected of this: the price.
Samsung's flexible phone could cost less than an iPhone XS Max
There is still enough for us to see the Samsung Galaxy with the so-called Infinity Flex Display screen (that's what the company has called it). In fact to this day nothing is known about the device. The size of its two screens (7.3 and 4.58 with QHD + resolution and 4: 3 and 21: 9 ratios) and its autonomy (similar to that of the current Samsung Galaxy) are the only ones that are known with certainty. Now Samsung drops the price of the device, which will be lower than expected.
Specifically, the statements of one of the CEOs of Samsung that we can see in Phone Arena read the following:
It will be in the market when we're ready, probably sometime in the next year… Price wise, not yet decided. But will be set to be as appropriate as possible.
In Spanish it means that the price will be as appropriate as possible for the characteristics it presents. The main technology media assure that it will start at $ 1,500 in its most basic storage version. Recall that currently there are phones such as the iPhone XS Max or the Huawei Mate 20 X that far exceed this figure, so it would not be unreasonable considering its innovation with respect to these two models.
Regarding the release date of the Samsung Galaxy Flex, Samsung is not clear when it will take place either. If we refer to the previous statement, 2019 could be a possible launch date, although it is possible that we will end up seeing it in 2020. We must also bear in mind that Android must be adapted to this type of screen, so it will depend largely on Google.
