OnePlus doesn't beat around the bush. The Asian company has just confirmed the presentation date of the new OnePlus 2, a smartphone that we now know will be presented on July 27. But it will not be a conventional presentation, since the launch of the new OnePlus 2 can be followed through virtual reality glasses. And it is not just any virtual reality glasses, since it turns out that OnePlus has developed its own for this occasion.
The presentation of the OnePlus 2 will offer users the possibility of attending in first person, from the comfort of home, the event in which OnePlus will reveal its new flagship to the world. This will be possible through the OnePlus Cardboard, virtual reality glasses based on the Google Cardboard design. As can be seen on the official website of OnePlus glasses, the OnePlus Cardboard will apparently be free, and users will only have to pay the shipping costs to be able to receive them at home in time to attend the presentation of the OnePlus 2. For now it is not possible to purchase the glasses, and it is expected that their distribution will begin to go live in the next few days.
But what about the OnePlus 2 ? OnePlus itself has been revealing some features of this new mobile, confirming details such as the USB Type-C fast charging port or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor in a supposedly updated version. Also, although we cannot talk about exact prices yet, OnePlus has confirmed that the new OnePlus 2 will cost more than 300 euros.
As regards the technical specifications, rumor that OnePlus 2 is presented with a screen 5.5 inches to achieve a resolution Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels). The, a processor Snapdragon 810 to remember that run at a speed slightly lower clock to avoid overheating problems, be accompanied by a memory RAM of 4 gigabytes and an internal memory of 64 gigabytes (be expandable unknown although they do not forget than the first OnePlusit did not have an external memory card slot).
