Fast charging is here to stay, it is possibly one of the great advances in technology of our time. The ability to load more than half the capacity of our terminal in a few minutes is something worth mentioning. Many manufacturers saw this feature as something to invest resources in and even made it their hallmark, as is the case with OnePlus with its Dash Charge. Today, practically every company has its charging system. The last to raise the attention has been that of Xiaomi, we tell you all the details of the Super Charge Turbo.
Super Charge Turbo the fast charging system of Xiaomi
Xiaomi likes to surprise its fans, we have a new product from the Asian firm practically every day. Today Lin Bin, co-founder and president of Xiaomi has unveiled this charging system. He has done so through his Weibo account, posting a video in which two terminals appear connected to their respective chargers. These terminals are the Oppo R17, chosen conscientiously since Oppo has one of the fastest fast charging systems on the market, its so-called SuperVOOC with 50W of power.
Next to the Oppo terminal is an unknown terminal but signed by Xiaomi. This terminal has a 4000mAh battery while Oppo's has 3700mAh. When starting the “comparison”, the Xiaomi terminal manages to charge from 0% to 100% in just 17 minutes, while the Oppo terminal with lower battery amperage takes 35 minutes, practically twice as long. The charging speed of the Super Charge Turbo is more than remarkable and more so considering that terminals like the recent Xiaomi Mi 9 support Quick Charge 4.0, a generic charge that comes from Qualcomm.
All we have is the sample video that raises more questions than it answers. So we will have to wait for Xiaomi to make the official announcement about its new Super Charge Turbo charging system and the terminals compatible with this type of charge. It is possible or almost certain that many terminals already on the market are not compatible or that they require specific chargers and cables capable of supporting the power of this technology. As soon as we have more information about Xiaomi's new fast charging system, we will let you know.
