Huawei continues to bet on the mid-range. This time stronger than ever. The Chinese company has decided to add one of the most interesting features of the Huawei P40 Pro. This new Huawei mobile has a screen with OLED technology, like the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro. This does not mean that the screen is of the same quality, but that they simply have the same technology. The OLED screen helps us to have purer blacks, since they are dull pixels. In addition, they also allow you to achieve greater battery savings with the dark mode applied. As the black pixels do not consume and the dark mode is mostly black, the terminal does not spend as much autonomy. The screen is 6.3 inches in size with Full HD + resolution.
But the most interesting feature of OLED panels is that they are compatible with in-screen fingerprint readers. In this case, the Huawei P Smart S incorporates a fingerprint scanner located on the screen, just like the Huawei P40 Pro. It is a feature that we were expecting to see on Huawei phones.

Triple camera up to 48 megapixels
Beyond the panel and the fingerprint reader, the Huawei P Smart S also stands out for its photographic section. The Chinese company has decided to add a triple main lens with a very popular system: a 48-megapixel f / 1.8 primary camera, a second 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a depth sensor with 2-megapixel resolution. Of course, with different modes and functions, like AI. This feature detects what we are photographing to adjust the tones and colors automatically.
The front camera is 16 megapixels.
What about performance? There are no surprises here. Huawei bets on a Kirin 710F chipset, an eight-core processor accompanied by 4 GB of RAM, as well as 128 GB of internal memory. It is the same configuration that we find in the Huawei P Smart 2020. All this with a 4,000 mAh battery. It comes with Android 10 and EMUI 10, but without Google services.
Price and availability of the Huawei P Smart S
The Huawei P Smart S has been announced in Italy, which means that it will most likely arrive in Spain in the coming weeks. Many Huawei devices that have been launched in Italy ended up arriving in our country. The price? 250 euros for a single version with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory.
An interesting price considering the specifications. Of course, the characteristics do not change much compared to the Huawei P Smart 2020, which does have Google services. In this case, it is probably better to sacrifice an OLED screen with a fingerprint reader than to have a Google play Store with all the apps we want.
