The nokia 8.1 plus will have a fingerprint sensor on the screen and triple camera

Just a few minutes ago, the Nokia X71 was presented, the first mid-range Nokia mobile with a triple rear camera and a hole in the screen. The first rumors about the mobile pointed to Nokia 8.1 Plus as the main name of the device. Now a new image is leaked of what is supposed to be the Nokia 8.1 Plus 2019 user manual that confirms not only its existence as the evolution of the Nokia 8.1, but also some of its technical characteristics.

Nokia 8.1 Plus 2019: triple camera and notch and on-screen fingerprint sensor

After several weeks of rumors and leaks, it seemed that today the Nokia 8.1 Plus was going to be presented. Finally, it has been the Nokia X71 that has been officially presented. No more than three hours have passed since its launch and now part of the features of the Nokia 8.1 Plus 2019 are filtered.

As we can see in the leaked images, the terminal will have a design quite similar to the Nokia X71. Notch on the screen and a triple rear camera are the two characteristics that the terminal shares with the mobile presented a few hours ago. The novelty in this case comes from the hand of the fingerprint sensor.

And is that unlike the X71, the Nokia 8.1 Plus 2019 will come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor. This makes us think that it will have a Super AMOLED panel, as it is the only type of screen that supports this type of sensor. The question now falls on whether it will be a traditional optical fingerprint sensor or if on the contrary it will be an ultrasonic sensor like that of the Samsung Galaxy S10.

For the rest, the terminal will have a USB type C charging port and a tray for the SIM card with two compartments for the two nano SIM cards and the SD.

Possible features of the Nokia 8.1 Plus 2019

Regarding its characteristics, today little or nothing is known about its technical specifications. If we take a look at the Nokia 8.1 presented at the beginning of the year, the terminal could have a Snapdragon 710 processor, 6 GB of RAM and a screen that could approach 6.5 inches.

The rest of the specifications could be composed of a battery of around 4,000 mAh, fast charging of up to 18 W and Android 9 Pie under the Android One program. We will have to wait for new leaks to know all the details of the device point by point.
