Motorola usually launches devices every few months, the catalog of terminals that the Lenovo-owned company has is very wide: Motorola One, Moto Z, Moto X, Moto C and Moto G range. The latter is possibly one of the most popular: terminals with good features and a good value for money, although without any interesting function that other terminals in the same range do not offer. The Motorola Moto G7 is a sample of this, and will soon receive its renewal. The Moto G8 Plus has been completely filtered with great detail, this is its design and main characteristics, does it stand out in something?
In design we see a great change compared to the previous generation. The glass rear is kept, but the rounded camera is eliminated to locate a triple lens on the left side. The truth is that we are already used to seeing this location for cameras, mobiles such as the Huawei P30 Pro or the Xiaomi Mi 9 also include the module in the left area. The Moto G8 Plus lens sticks out slightly from the edge. It is accompanied by an LED flash and what looks like a laser for focus. Just below, in the center, is the fingerprint reader. The images show the lower frame with the USB C and a speaker. On the front there are no great news: the 'drop type' notch is kept to house the camera for selfies and a rather pronounced frame at the bottom.
Perhaps the most striking design of this upcoming G8 Plus are the new colors: it will arrive in a dark blue and a very striking red, with bright tones and a gradient effect.
Moto G8 Plus, mid-range processor and 48 MP camera
In the characteristics there are not many surprises either. The terminal will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, a mid-range chip that could come with 6 GB RAM, as well as 64 and 128 GB internal storage. In addition to this, it will have a 6.3-inch panel with Full HD + resolution and a 4,000 mAh battery that will include fast charging.
In the photographic section we will find a 48 megapixel main sensor. It is accompanied by a second 16-megapixel wide-angle camera. This lens will allow us to record video with a greater panoramic vision, with up to 4 times more information in the video than the 48 megapixel angular camera. This function is already included in one of its terminals, the Motorola One Action. The third sensor will be a telephoto lens for depth of field. No big changes are expected in terms of connectivity and Android version: 9.0 Pie with next update to Android 10 and Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Wifi and NFC.
The Motorola Moto G8 Plus could be announced during this month of October. The company has yet to reveal details about its launch.
