The Moto G6 Plus is already starting to receive the stable version of Android 9 Pie. The update has started in India, although it is expected that in the coming days it will also be available in those countries where the device is marketed, including Spain. As usually happens, it is arriving via OTA (over the air), which implies that it is not necessary to use cables to install it, only a stable and secure WiFi connection.
Android 9 brings different novelties to the Moto G6 Plus, including improvements in the interface, adaptive brightness or more battery in a single charge. Also, along with the update, the December security patch has also been included with bug and bug fixes. If you have this model, the normal thing is that you will receive a pop-up message on the terminal screen advising you of the update. In case the days go by and you don't see it, enter the settings section, about the system, software updates to see if it is already available.
We recommend that before you update your Moto G6 Plus to Android 9 Pie, you make a backup of all the data on the device. Normally, nothing happens during the process, but it is always better to prevent if you do not want to lose data or any type of information. Also make sure that at the time of installation your Moto has more than 50% battery power. On the other hand, avoid updating in places with an open WiFi or with your own data connection. Wait until you get home to do it.
