The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is, without a doubt, one of the most striking phones we have seen this year. Samsung's foldable smartphone has a 6.7-inch screen that can be folded to halve the size of the mobile. It is not a device that is within the reach of every pocket, but without a doubt the user who opts for this model will want to have the latest technology. So Samsung has decided to launch a version of Galaxy Z Flip with 5G connectivity. It is already available in two finishes and at a price that few can afford.
To achieve 5G connectivity, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is the first device in Samsung's Galaxy lineup to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G mobile platform. It is a processor manufactured in 7 nm and has a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz.
As for the rest of the technical characteristics, the 8 GB of RAM and the 256 GB of internal storage remain. We also have the same battery, with 3,300 mAh and a fast charging system.
5G connectivity without compromising design
Samsung has managed to integrate 5G connectivity into the Galaxy Z Flip without adding bulk. The manufacturer has incorporated the necessary components while maintaining an elegant and comfortable design.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G has a 6.7-inch main screen with FHD + resolution (2,636 x 1,080 pixels) and Dynamic AMOLED technology. The cover screen is 1.1 inches, has a resolution of 300 x 112 pixels and uses Super AMOLED technology.
When we unfold the device, it has dimensions of 73.6 x 167.3 x 7.2 mm - 6.9 mm. When folded it remains in dimensions of 73.6 x 87.4 x 17.3 mm (Hinge) - 15.4 mm. Its weight is 183 grams, so it is much lighter than the vast majority of current high-end terminals.
As for the photographic section, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G has a dual rear camera with two 12 MP sensors. The main sensor is a wide-angle with Super Speed Dual Pixel AF focus, OIS and f / 1.8 aperture. This camera is also capable of recording video in HDR10 + and has AF tracking.
The second sensor is an ultra wide angle with aperture f / 2.2 and a viewing angle of 123º. And as for the front camera, it has a 10 MP sensor with f / 2.4 aperture and 1.22 µm pixels.
Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G is now available in Spain in two colors: Mystic Gray and Mystic Bronze. Its official price is 1,550 euros, that is, only 50 euros more expensive than the model without 5G connectivity.
