If we go back to the year 2013, the rumors of the time assured that Samsung was working on a new series of high-end smartphones baptized as Galaxy F. The truth is that this was forgotten, since we never got to know this line of devices. A tweet from a well-known Chinese leaker relaunches this information, ensuring that, now, the company would be finalizing the details of this family. If we take into account that the South Korean's folding phone is yet to arrive, everything fits. Samsung's folding mobile could be called Samsung Galaxy F.
Apparently, the Galaxy F series will be very high-end, which fits perfectly with the recent rumors that the folding phone could cost around 1,500 euros to change. However, the same source also pointed out very recently that Samsung would be working on the Galaxy R and Galaxy P smartphones for the Chinese market. So the Galaxy F could also turn out to be a high-end exclusive offering for China, based on devices like the recently launched Galaxy A9 Star.
Of course, it is best not to rush and take all this information with caution until we have official news from the Asian company. Regardless, rumors about Samsung's next foldable phone are constant. As far as we know, the panel of the device would be about 7.3 inches in size when unfolded and reduced to 4.5 inches when folded. On this it should be noted that today Samsung has announced a new flexible and unbreakable OLED panel, capable of withstanding drops of up to 1.8 meters in height and extreme temperatures. Will it be present in the next folding mobile of the company?
According to the leaks, we may have to wait until the first half of 2019 to find out what the Galaxy F or Galaxy X will be like. Some information places CES in Las Vegas, which will open its doors next January, as the perfect setting for the coming-out of this team. Time will tell. We will inform you as soon as we have new data.
