Xiaomi's Redmi A series is one of the best-selling of the Chinese manufacturer. And it is that in this range we find the cheapest Xiaomi phones that, as almost always, offer more than decent features for their price. Within this range we have the Redmi 8A, one of the last devices that arrived in Spain.
Well, now this model is slightly renewed with the new Redmi 8A Pro. And we say lightly because the only novelty it includes is a dual camera system on its back. We are going to know more details about what may become one of the best-selling phones in the Redmi catalog.
Redmi 8A Pro, Xiaomi's cheapest mobile now with double camera
The Redmi 8A is a mobile with a really reasonable price (around 110 euros at Amazon), but despite this it is a mobile that offers quite interesting features. Now these have improved with the arrival of the Redmi 8A Pro.
The news are not many. In fact, the only one we have found is the incorporation of a dual camera system instead of the single sensor that the normal version has. Specifically, the Redmi 8A Pro is equipped with a 13 MP main sensor with f / 2.2 aperture and 1.12 µm pixels. It is accompanied by a depth sensor with 2 megapixels of resolution, f / 2.4 aperture and 1.75 µm pixels.
As for the front camera, it has an 8 megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 aperture and 1.12 µm pixels. The main camera is capable of recording video with 1080p resolution at 30fps, while the front camera only goes up to 720p.
Same technical set
Inside the Redmi 8A Pro we find the same technical set as the previous model. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor, which is accompanied by 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The same screen is also kept. Specifically, it is a 6.22-inch IPS panel that offers a resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels (HD +). The contrast ratio is 1,500: 1 and it is capable of displaying 70.8% of the NTSC color space.
A large 5,000 mAh battery completes the technical set. In addition, despite its low price, it has 18W fast charging.
Price and availability
The Redmi 8A Pro has been presented in Indonesia, but it is very possible that in the coming weeks it will arrive in Spain to replace the Redmi 8A.
The official prices for the Redmi 8A Pro in Indonesia are Rs 1,600 for the model with 2GB of RAM and Rs 1,700 for the one with 3GB of RAM. If we make the change to euros this would be about 90 and 95 euros respectively, although seeing the price of the previous model I am sure that if it reaches Europe the price will be somewhat higher.
