- The Samsung Galaxy Flex or Fold will have two batteries of up to 6,000 mAh
- The price could exceed 1,500 euros
We haven't heard or read anything about Samsung's flexible mobile for a while. The one called by many means Samsung Galaxy Flex will be presented in mid-2019, and at the moment there are few technical characteristics that are known about it beyond its double 4 and 7-inch screen. Now a new report through CGS-CIMB we can know that the Samsung Galaxy Fold or Flex will have a battery to date never seen in a Samsung mobile. We are talking about a capacity greater than 4,000 mAh of the current Samsung Galaxy Note 9 presented a few months ago.
The Samsung Galaxy Flex or Fold will have two batteries of up to 6,000 mAh
This is confirmed by the cited Korean source. According to sources close to Samsung, the company's flexible phone will come with two battery modules, one in the first half of the terminal and the other in the second (remember that the body will be divided into two parts).
Regarding the capacity of these, the source does not specify any amount, but ensures that it will be between 5,000 and 6,000 mAh, something unusual in mobile phones from the South Korean company. Although it may seem like an inordinate capacity, we must bear in mind that the device will consist of two screens of 4.6 and 7.3 inches in size and 840 × 1960 and 1536 × 2152 resolution, in addition to an Exynos 9820 or Snapdragon 855 processor.
Hopefully it will also come with the company's most advanced fast charging technology to achieve logical charging times considering the size of the device. In this aspect, we must wait for more details of the smartphone to be filtered to see if the rumors are finally true.
The price could exceed 1,500 euros
The aforementioned Korean source has also given some details regarding the price of the Samsung Galaxy Flex. As with the battery capacity, no exact amount has been detailed. The only thing we know is that it will range between $ 1,800 (about 1,600 euros at the exchange rate), a value that could increase if it reaches Spain due to the different taxes.
Another detail that the source hints at is the possible presentation of a mobile with up to three screens with a total size of 12 inches, although this will largely depend on the success of the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Will the Tab range merge with the current Galaxy Note and S? We will see it over time, although everything indicates that the future of technology will come with convergence.
