This correction is incorporated together with the Lumia Denim update, and we are talking about a file that has already begun to be distributed in much of the world. In theory, owners of a Microsoft Lumia 535 purchased in Spain (in its free version) should already be able to download this update.
Responsible for publicizing the distribution of the new update for the Lumia 535 has been the American company Microsoft itself. One of the managers of this company has informed users in the official Microsoft forums ( http://discussions.nokia.com/ ) that the Lumia 535 (in its version of RM-1089) has begun to receive a new operating system update in some markets. This new update responds to the numbering of 8.10.14219.341, and among its novelties it incorporates:
- Improvements in the touch sensitivity of the screen.
- Expansion of the availability of the voice assistant Cortana (which, at least as regards its Spanish version, is only available in the testing phase; a phase that, by the way, we have had the opportunity to test in first person and that any user can install on their mobile with Windows Phone operating system).
- New button to turn data on and off from the Action Center.
- New option to configure periodic installations of operating system updates.
- Minor bug fixes and performance improvements.
The availability of this new update depends on each country, so it is recommended that any owner of a Lumia 535 see the state of this update from the official website of Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/en/mobile / support / software-update / wp8-software-update /. On this page we have to click on the territory in which we have bought our smartphone (see Europe, for example), and then we must search for our country in the list that will be displayed on this page.
Still, this update should be notified to users via a pop-up notification. In either case, the procedure to download the version of Lumia Denim from a Lumia 535 is as follows:
- We unlock the screen of our Lumia 535 and display the list of options that appear on the right of the screen.
- Click on the " Configuration " option.
- We click on the option " Phone update " and we wait for our mobile phone to detect a new update. In the event that there is a file available for download, we will have to start the installation process and wait a few minutes for the update that is available at that time to finish installing.
