LG V40 ThinQ.
LG has a very good relationship with Google. It is not a secret, you just have to look at the customization layer of LG phones and all the Google options that it includes, even some that were supposedly exclusive to the Pixel, such as the augmented reality Stikcers. Still, the company doesn't show an update schedule as fast as we'd like. Thankfully the wait is over and the lG V40 ThinQ is starting to receive Android 9.0 Pie.
The update arrives with the number V409NO20c. At the moment, the new version has been started in South Korea, but later it will reach other markets. In the United States, the V40s anchored to different operators are also gradually receiving their share of Android 9.0 Pie. Therefore, it is likely that in a few weeks it will be deployed to Europe, including Spain. We hardly have any information about what's new, but in addition to the features that LG can add to its customization layer, we look forward to the most prominent features of Android 9 Pie. For example, a new navigation through gestures or the 'Digital Wellbeing' options that allow us to know the time of use with the applications. Also the battery and adaptive brightness, which adjusts these two factors based on our day-to-day preferences.
How to update the LG V40 ThinQ
As I have commented, the update is reaching all users with a V40 ThinQ in Korea, as well as some carriers in the United States. In Spain it could take a while to arrive. You can check if you have the new version available within the system settings, in the updates section. Although if the automatic update options are activated, it will notify you through a notification.
It's a major update, so have enough battery on the device as well as internal storage. Don't forget to make a backup of your data.
