The ever-growing catalog of smart phones with large-format screens receives a new addition in our country. This time it is the South Korean LG that signs the device. This is the LG Optimus G Pro, a team that hopes to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and, above all, with its successor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, as well as the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Huawei Ascend Mate or ZTE Grand Memo, all of them based on panels that exceed five inches in diagonal. In the present case, we find a 5.5-inch surface that distributes a FullHD resolution, that is, 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.
The LG Optimus G Pro, as we say, is already on sale in our country officially, being possible to acquire it in a free format for a fairly competitive price, if we stick to what we are used to seeing among the high-end of this segment: 550 euros. For this cost, the user can take a device that, in addition to standing out for its screen, does so for its power and possibilities in the multimedia plane. So much so that the LG Optimus G Pro equips a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor. This is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600, already seen in this generation in the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.
In addition to this, the LG Optimus G Pro has a combo of two cameras. The main, installed on the back of the terminal, develops a maximum resolution of thirteen megapixel capture, allowing video footage quality FullHD. The secondary one, located on the front of the LG Optimus G Pro, collects up to two megapixels in the photographed image. This device runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the penultimate version of Google's operating system for smartphones. However, if the team in question can be distinguished from part of its competition for something, it is by its connection chart. In addition to the usual features ”” Wi-Fi, 3G, microUSB, Bluetooth ””, the LG Optimus G Pro is compatible with 4G networks that can already be enjoyed in various parts of Spain thanks to the infrastructures of Vodafone, Orange and Yoigo, who have deployed a first phase of LTE coverage on the 1,800 and 2,600 MHz networks .
The LG Optimus G Pro has, on the other hand, a 3,140 milliamp battery, and is prepared to recognize induction wireless charging bases, something that we already know in other devices, such as the Nokia Lumia 920. In terms of memory, this terminal offers 32 GB of built-in capacity with expansion options of up to an additional 32 GB via microSD card. As for the RAM, we find two GB that support the processor described.
Like other smart devices, the LG Optimus G Pro includes an interesting palette of exclusive functions that express the technique of the device. Like the Samsung Galaxy S4, we can record videos or capture images using the phone's two cameras simultaneously, in addition to offering an application to take 360-degree photos, emulating the experience that LG itself deployed with Google's Nexus 4.
