LG has already confirmed through the media that it will take advantage of its presence at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to present what will be its next flagship, the LG G5. The exact date of the presentation will be February 21, in an event that the marketing department of the Korean multinational has titled " Play Begins ". Well, a little over a month after this date, information has leaked to the media that indicates that the new G5 would have a kind of removable bay located at the base of the equipment. This mechanism would serve in principle to be able to extract the battery, so that LG could combine the advantages of the type designUnibody with the possibility of being able to change the battery for a spare one when we run out of power.
Following the trend of the sector in terms of high-end devices, the new LG G5 would have a completely metallic body that would have a curious peculiarity. And, according to a source close to the factory, the next G5 would be equipped with a kind of bay in the base of the phone that would allow users to replace the battery. It is an original way to combine the solid and premium design of the Unibody- type bodies with the convenience of being able to change the battery for a spare one when it runs out. As can be seen in the image published by Cnet Koreathat accompanies this post, the system works by extracting the lower end of the equipment, thus leaving the battery free to slide out so that the user can remove it and insert a new one.
Regarding its technical characteristics, the information leaked so far suggests that LG's new top of the range would offer a screen size somewhat smaller than that of the LG G4, going from 5.5 to 5.3 inches. The reason for this reduction is that the new G5 would add a small 160 x 1,040 display in the style of the one already seen in the LG V10, and that it would be reserved for direct access to applications, contacts or control of multimedia files, thus leaving free the rest of the screen to display the content. Following the specifications, the 5.3-inch main screen would offer resolutionQHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) offering a density of approximately 550 pixels per inch. As in other high-end smartphones about to hit the market, LG would use the new Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm, and the RAM would reach up to 3 GB. In the photographic section, the main chamber would have a dual system of 16 megapixel able to get up panoramic 135 degrees, plus a front camera of eight megapixels. Always according to the latest rumors, LG could abandon the rear button of the G4, adopting a more traditional button layout and leaving room at the back for a fingerprint scanner. We will have to wait for the official presentation of the LG G5 on February 21 in Barcelona to confirm these data.
