The new LG G Flex 2 from the South Korean company LG was scheduled to be presented at CES 2015, but a new leak has revealed all the technical specifications - and even the appearance - of the LG G Flex 2 hours before its official presentation. We are talking about the successor to the LG G Flex, and it is a smartphone that incorporates a curved design accompanied by a curved screen. The new LG G Flex 2 will hit stores in the first months of 2015, and will be available in two housing colors: silver gray and red.
The new LG G Flex 2 is presented with a screen 5.5 inches in size and 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution (remember that the first screen G Flex was six inches and reached 1,280 x 720 pixels of resolution). Measures of this smartphone are set at 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1 - 9.4 mm, representing a significant reduction in size compared to the size of the LG G Flex (160.5 x 81.6 x 7.9-8.7 mm).
But it is under the housing of the LG G Flex 2 where we really find the characteristics that we could identify with any high-end mobile. The LG G Flex 2 has a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with eight cores running at a clock speed of 2GHz. The capacity of the RAM (DDR4 type) is 2 GigaBytes, while the internal storage space is available in 16 and 32 GigaByte versions (in both cases expandable by means of an external microSD card).
And what about the multimedia aspect? The LG G Flex 2 includes a main camera of 13 megapixel sensor (OIS) that incorporates the same -laser auto focus that which brought about the LG G3. The secondary camera comes with a sensor of 2.1 megapixels.
The battery that gives life to the technical specifications of the LG G Flex 2 has a capacity of 3,000 mAh and, according to the leak, it is capable of charging half its capacity in 40 minutes. These features are also accompanied by connectivity 4G LTE of Internet ultra-fast, connectivity NFC and operating system Android in its latest version of Android 5.0 Lollipop (and also the interface of the LG G Flex 2 inherits many of the LG G3 functions, see for example the option to take selfies with a wave of the hand, no need to touch the screen).
All this information has been released by the US website PhoneArena , so we will have to wait until LG's presentation at CES 2015 to find out if we are looking at the definitive features of the LG G Flex 2. Remember that the LG presentation will take place today (January 5), specifically at 5:00 p.m. Spanish time. And although the starting price that the LG G Flex 2 will have is still unknown, it is worth mentioning that the first LG G Flex arrived in Spanish stores with a base price of 800 euros.
