The South Korean company LG seems to have started working on the successor to the LG G Flex, the smartphone with a curved design that was officially presented at the beginning of this year 2014 (specifically during the month of February). According to extra-official sources, the development of this new LG G Flex 2 could be so advanced that its presentation could take place during the next CES 2015, the technological event that is held in the United States at the end of January.
The information comes from an anonymous source who has contacted the American website AndroidAuthority , where they have echoed this source stating that the LG G Flex 2 will be officially presented at the beginning of next year 2015. And although it is still early to talk about the technical specifications of this new mobile, the leak indicates that the LG G Flex 2 will be slightly smaller than its predecessor (the LG G Flex incorporated a six-inch screen) and, in addition, its screen will offer a resolution Full HD with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (that of the LG G Flex stood at 1,280 x 720 pixels).
And since one of the most striking features of the LG G Flex is its curved design, LG seems to have developed a new case for the LG G Flex 2 that will allow the terminal to be bent even more without its structure suffering any damage. In short, the LG G Flex 2 would be a mobile that would get closer and closer to the flexible smartphone technology that manufacturers such as Samsung are working on.
Indeed, it was the South Korean company own Samsung which introduced months before the presentation of the LG G Flex the Samsung Galaxy Round (presented in October of the year 2013), a smartphone with a design also curved at the ends of the terminal protruded slightly from the center of the screen. And, with mobile phones with curved designs being highlighted, we cannot forget the recently presented Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, another smartphone that incorporates an additional screen (a second screen) on one side of its design.
If we take a look at the characteristics of the first LG G Flex we will see that its specifications had nothing to envy to the high-end mobiles on the market. The LG G Flex presented with a screen six inches with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 of four cores running at 2.26 GHz, 2 gigabytes of memory RAM, 32 gigabytes of memory (no expansion option by external card), a main camera of 13 megapixels and a battery with 3500 mAh capacity.
Taking into account these characteristics, it is to be assumed that the LG G Flex 2 will also be presented as a high-end mobile. We will have to wait until CES 2015 (end of January) to officially know the technical specifications of this new LG mobile.
