When we already assumed that the iPhone 6 of the US manufacturer Apple would be officially presented during the month of September, a new leak has just fanned the flame of rumors by marking a different date for the presentation of this smartphone. According to this new rumor, the iPhone 6 could be presented during the month of October at an official event in which Apple would also unveil its smart watch, the iWatch.
To be more precise, the rumor points towards October 14 as the exact day that Apple will introduce both the successor to the iPhone 5S and the iWatch smartwatch. Although there is no official confirmation in this regard, the rumor refers to several Asian media outlets who claim that the presentation of the iPhone 6 will be delayed until October. In the event that this rumor were true, we would be facing an important advantage for the South Korean manufacturer Samsung, which could take advantage of the IFA 2014 in September to get ahead of Applepresenting its flagship (the Samsung Galaxy Note 4) and revealing some other unexpected novelty (a mobile with a metal casing, for example).
As for the new features that the iPhone 6 will bring, we cannot fail to mention the rumor that has acquired the most prominence in recent months: the possibility that Apple will present two versions of the iPhone 6, one with a 5.5-inch screen (manufactured with sapphire) and another with a 4.7-inch screen. While there is a good chance that this rumor is false, there is no doubt that Apple's next smartphone will feature a noticeably larger screen compared to the four inches of the iPhone 5S.
The rest of the technical specifications of the iPhone 6 are, today, a complete mystery. Even so, a rumor recently appeared that this smartphone would incorporate NFC connectivity, which would allow both making payments from the mobile itself and transferring files wirelessly between one iPhone and another with total comfort. In fact, we could be facing a very important connectivity in the process of linking the iPhone 6 with the iWatch smartwatch.
Beyond these data, it is difficult to predict what will be the real news with which Apple will surprise us with the iPhone 6. Hopefully the rumors pointing towards an improved Touch ID fingerprint reader, towards a sapphire screen in the 5.5-inch version and towards a logo with notification light are correct, thus giving rise to a completely renewed iPhone that can assume a real competition to Samsung with their respective flagships (the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (not yet officially presented) and the Samsung Galaxy S5).
