The launch of the successor to the iPhone 5S of the US manufacturer Apple could be divided into two dates. On the one hand we have the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, which is expected to be presented during the month of September. But, on the other hand, we also have the 5.5-inch iPhone 6, which has starred in a new rumor that claims that its launch will take place during the month of December of this year. This rumor would deny the sources who a few days ago assured that the largest version of the iPhone 6 would be delayed until the next year 2015.
But the rumor that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will be presented in December goes much further. As we anticipated in the middle of last month, the only iPhone 6 to incorporate the famous sapphire screen would be the 5.5-inch iPhone 6. This statement is based on that in the event that the iPhone 6 to 4.7 inches out to incorporate this type of display, producing sapphire screens should be starting early this year. Instead, given that production started during the month of May, Apple would only be able to guarantee sufficient availability of sapphire displays for the 5.5-inch iPhone 6, which would hit stores three months after the smaller version of this same smartphone.
Still, all this information is based on assumptions and speculation. In fact, the few technical characteristics that are known in relation to the iPhone 6 (compatibility with NFC technology, Apple logo with an LED light that would light up with incoming notifications, rounded edges of the case, etc.) also come solely and exclusively of different leaks that occur in the network. Of course, what there seems to be no doubt is that the iPhone 6 (both in its 4.7 and 5.5-inch version) will incorporate the iOS operating system as standard in its most recent version ofiOS 8. Recall that currently the iOS 8 update can already be tested on previous iPhone models through a Beta that is distributed among developers (currently we are going for the fourth version of the beta) who work with iOS applications.
To know the veracity of all these data we have no choice but to wait until the arrival of September. In the event that Apple presents the iPhone 6 during this date, there are also many possibilities that we will attend the presentation of another of the most anticipated products of this company: the iWatch smartwatch. At the end of the day it will be a product that has probably been designed with the new generation of smartphones in the iPhone range in mind, so it is not at all unreasonable to think that its presentation can be produced simultaneously together with that of the iPhone 6.
