The rumors were correct. After months and even years of rumors, the new iPhone SE (2020 or second generation) is a reality. Finally there has been no redesign, as pointed out by some sources close to the company. In fact, the terminal is practically traced to an iPhone 8, which in turn has the same design as the iPhone 6, a smartphone dating from nothing less than 2014. The same design as an iPhone 8
So is. The differences are practically nil. The terminal has a 4.7-inch screen with IPS technology and Retina Display resolution, that is, HD. Nothing seems to indicate that it is a different screen than the one we find in the iPhone 8.
Its chassis, made up of glass and metal in its entirety, houses a Touch ID fingerprint sensor that points to the latest generation presented with the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the design is precisely its dimensions, only 13.8 centimeters high and 6.7 wide and weighing only 148 grams.
Same hardware as an iPhone 11 and an iPhone 8
In the technical section, the company has put all the meat on the grill. The phone uses the Apple Bionic A13, the latest processor introduced by the company in an iPhone. The amount of RAM memory is unknown, although everything indicates that it will be 3 or even 4 GB.
In terms of storage capacities, there are three versions that will arrive initially: 64, 128 and 256 GB. The rest of the characteristics are the same as those of the iPhone 8, such as the battery, of which its theoretical capacity is unknown. Apple has ensured that it has the same autonomy, as well as wireless charging. Once again, we do not find any fast charging system.
The same camera as the iPhone XR
The photographic section of the new iPhone SE consists of a single 12 megapixel camera with a focal aperture f / 1.8. In fact, it is the same camera that we find in the iPhone XR. Apple has claimed that it has Portrait mode by software, a novelty that makes up for the lack of a second telephoto sensor.
If we move to the front, the news is somewhat less tangible. Its unique 7 megapixel sensor repeats the specifications of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus presented 3 years ago.
Price and availability of the iPhone SE 2020 in Spain
The different versions of the iPhone SE 2 or iPhone SE of the second generation can be purchased from today on the Apple online store. The prices announced by the company are as follows:
