A little over two months have passed since the presentation of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but the American company Apple has already begun to star in the first rumors regarding what will become the new iPhone 6S. Apparently, one of the strengths of the next iPhone will be the camera. And beyond being a camera that stands out for simply having a high number of megapixels, a new leak has revealed that we would be talking about a camera that would incorporate a dual-lens system.
As revealed by the scant information that exists in relation to this leak, the camera of the new iPhone would incorporate a lens with a rotation system that, in some way, would bring the quality of the photographs taken with the mobile closer to the quality that can be obtained from through DSLR cameras (a literal statement from an analyst that is, to say the least, daring). Apparently, this lens could be adjusted manually by the user himself, in such a way that the photographs taken with the mobile camera could be customized by choosing the focus or blur to be applied to the snapshot.
In some way we would be talking about a technology similar to that incorporated in the HTC One M8, with the difference that in the case of this mobile from the Taiwanese company HTC the blur effect is achieved through two sensors located separately on the back of the mobile. Apple's idea, according to rumors, would be to incorporate this technology into a single sensor located inside the main camera.
All this information comes from John Gruber, an independent analyst who claims to have received this data from a reliable source at the Cupertino company. This analyst literally states that “ I have heard that next year's camera will represent the biggest jump in quality ever seen so far ”, and adds that “ apparently it will be a strange dual-lens system in which the main camera will use two different lenses to take pictures ".
On the other hand, some US media have also ventured to ensure that the next iPhone 6S will incorporate a main camera whose sensor will correspond to a sensor developed by the Japanese company Sony. To be more specific, some rumors suggest that the one chosen for the next Apple flagship will be the IMX230, the sensor that Sony has officially presented a few days ago. This sensor is scheduled to go into production from the middle of next year 2015, which would coincide with the dates on which it is expected that the next mobile in the iPhone range will begin to be mass-produced.
Although all this information is completely extra-official, it is curious to see how the first concrete rumors about the technical specifications of the new iPhone have already begun to appear. As with all Apple products, we will have to wait until next year to find out if these rumors are correct.
