A few weeks ago, rumors appeared that spoke of the possibility that Apple used sapphire as the main material for the manufacture of the screens of its new iPhone 6, the successor to the current iPhone 5S. Although for now we still do not have an official confirmation of this news, this time we have learned through another rumor that the sapphire screens could be limited only to the 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 6. This rumor, at the same time, also takes for granted the possibility that the American company Apple will launch two versions of the new iPhone: a version with a screen of4.7 inches and another version with a 5.5-inch screen.
But let's go in order. The first thing to look at is the rumor that has revealed the possibility that the iPhone 6 to 5.5 inches is the "premium" version of this new smartphone, since sapphire is a material much more resistant compared to the layer Gorilla Glass protection that conventional mobiles incorporate. Precisely the same protective layer would be reserved for the iPhone 6 to 4.7 inches.
Another interesting fact that this recent rumor reminds us is the possibility that Apple will finally launch two different versions of the iPhone 6. This is quite a bold rumor considering that we still don't know if there will actually be a considerable change in the size of the iPhone 6 screen compared to the iPhone 5S screen, which was introduced last year with a screen size set at four inches.
In fact, if we refer solely and exclusively to official information, to this day we know absolutely nothing firm about the iPhone 6. We can guess that it will incorporate the most recent version of the iOS operating system, iOS 8, as standard, but beyond that, any type of information belongs to rumors and speculation. In fact, we must be careful even with the photographs that appear revealing the supposed appearance of the new iPhone 6, since nowadays with 3D printers any user has the possibility of successfully launching a false rumor to the network.
It is expected that during the last weeks of September the new iPhone 6 will be officially presented, thus putting an end to all the rumors that are appearing in relation to this smartphone. The fact that the month chosen for this presentation is September is due to the fact that, in 2013, Apple officially presented the iPhone 5S during the month of September. What does seem to be clear is that 2014 will not end without seeing the presentation of both the new iPhone and quite possibly the iWatch, the first smartwatch of this company.
