Interesting news that we have learned through Mashable. A few days ago many of us were surprised to see that Mark Zuckerberg, founder and visible head of Facebook, tiptoed over the issue of the official application of his social network for iPad during the past F8 (the event where the news of this portal was presented).
Today we have learned the reason: Facebook for iPad will be presented on October 4. Does the date ring a bell? Indeed: that is the day supposedly reserved to present the iPhone 5 (and perhaps the iPhone 4S or iPhone 4 Plus). According to sources from the aforementioned electronic medium, Apple did not want something so relevant and related to one of its products to be presented without having the event under control.
The point is that the relations between Apple and Facebook have undergone certain strains (due to some cross functions between services of the two companies that would not have had the full support of the parties), so Facebook would have given its arm to twisting to go to the house of the tablet manufacturer to act as a guest, and not vice versa.
The Facebook application for iPad (known by the very dramatic code name of Project Spartan) would be programmed in full HTML5, looking for a very efficient operation with the support of Apple. In addition, according to what has been learned, the fact that Apple acts as host in the presentation would have another important reason.
And it is that Mashable assures that the presentation of Facebook for iPad will serve to reveal more news about iOS 5, the system for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch of which many things were already shown last June. Among these, we would know the integration of social networks such as Twitter or Facebook itself with the platform of Apple's mobile devices.
We already had some clues as to how Twitter would root in the iOS system as of this fifth edition. The question now is to see how Facebook will do it, although you do not have to speculate too much to think that Android will have served as inspiration at this point.
