The new iPad had a new processor: the so-called Apple A5X. A dual-core processor but in the graphics part it has a quad-core GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). However, the sights are already set on what Apple can present in a few months and that is nothing more than the new version of its mobile: the iPhone 5. But, it is rumored, both teams may not share the same processor.
With the arrival of the new Apple tablet a new processor was also presented; an evolution of the one currently equipped with both the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2, the true mentor of the model. And it is that those of Cupertino have taken advantage of each processor presented in one of their tablets to insert them into their new mobile model. The original iPad - the one that was introduced in 2010 - included a processor with a gigahertz of power but with a single core. This was dubbed the Apple A4. Months later he made an appearance on the iPhone 4.
The same happened with the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S. Both inventions equip the Apple A5, a dual-core processor with a frequency, again, of one GHz each. However, the Apple A5X - the new processor presented by Tim Cook - may not be inserted into the chassis of the future iPhone 5. This is what some analysts comment and whose statements have been collected by the MacWorld publication.
Apparently, the way forward for Apple in the following dates is to further separate the iPhone and iPad brands. In addition, no numbers and this has been demonstrated with the title that received the new presentation: " The new iPad ", neither iPad 3 nor iPad HD. In addition, the new quad-core graphics chip, in addition to performing at its best when it comes to video games and being able to perfectly withstand the high resolution reached by the Retina Display screen, will also cost extra energy.
Analysts don't think the iPhone 5 should change anything on its screen. However, the most controversial issue is its autonomy. An update has recently been released — iOs 5.1 — that improves this aspect. In this regard, a quad-core graphics chip would not be the most sensible option. Therefore, it is expected that the new Apple mobile will include a dual-core processor but with a view to having a more moderate power consumption.
Finally, the analysts themselves have hinted that this new Apple A5X would have new destinations. For example, we speak of computers with screens somewhat larger than those of a new mobile. In other words, you could be talking about a smaller iPad or the rumored seven-inch iPad. In addition, other inventions could also take advantage of the new graphics chip. And this would be, without a doubt, a more powerful version of the renewed Apple TV that in the same Keynote showed off the processor of the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. Therefore, and for the moment, we can wait for the decisions made by those from Cupertino whose captain on board is Tim Cook.
