The iPad Mini strikes again. Much has been written for and against the possible existence of a tablet smaller than the current device in the future plans of the Cupertino firm. Even Steve Jobs himself went so far as to say that Apple would never launch a terminal with a screen between seven and eight inches.
But the popularity of the Kindle Fire, which is on track to become the second largest tablet on the market in a few weeks, taking a significant share from the iPad, could have turned the intentions of Californians.
Thus, as we have been able to find out through information published on the specialized site DigiTimes, Apple could launch a 7.85-inch screen tablet in the third quarter of 2012. It would be, indeed, the iPad Mini, a terminal of a somewhat more compact size compared to the one that we would know between February and April of the imminent year.
Those responsible for the screen of yore would be the firms LG Display - who already manufactured the famous IPS Retina of the iPhone 4 - and AU Optronics, another of the usual suppliers of those from Cupertino. It is unknown whether the panel of 7.85 inches develop the dramatic resolution practically taken for sure in the iPad 3 - 2,048 x 1,536 pixels - or whether on the contrary, would retain the existing models - 1,024 x 768 pixels -.
To date, Apple does not provide any information that serves to guide the security of the launch. By the date that DigiTimes manages, it could be said that the iPad Mini would be the commercial journey companion of the iPhone 5, Apple's next touch mobile, which, following the rhythm of the company's canonical presentations, would reach the market between the months of June and July 2012.
Well being, for the next summer, and giving fuel to the rumor mill is known so far, Apple could confirgurar a strategy that happen to have on the market a tablet of high performance- the iPad 3 - as well as a renewed phone high-end with new features -the iPhone 5, with a supposed screen of between four and 4.2 inches with HD resolution and renewed design- and a compact format tablet and possible more affordable terminal vocation -the iPad Mini -.
