The iPad 3 will be presented tomorrow, March 7. And next to it, you can surely see new accessories such as the covers that accompany the new tablet. According to the latest rumors, together with the new Cupertino team, a new case model could be presented that better protects the Apple tablet, and put aside the current version that is sold for the iPad 2.
With each version of iPad, Apple has introduced a protective case. With the original iPad, a very resistant plastic case appeared on the market that, in addition to protecting the tablet as a whole, could also be converted into a small stand so that typing text was much more comfortable. In addition, thanks to the small angle that it formed, the user was able to position it in different ways and be able to watch a video as if it were a monitor.
A year ago practically, the iPad 2 came out on the scene. And next to it, the well-known Smart Cover , a “smart” cover that was hooked to the computer with magnets on one of its sides. In addition, it managed to turn on the iPad 2 every time the user decided to lift the lid. But what is its main disadvantage? That leaves the back of the iPad 2 bare and unprotected. And accessories are a great source of income.
That is why, and according to leaks from the iLounge publication, Apple would be working on a new cover model, very similar to the Smart Cover but with rear protection. What's more, on the front there would still be a cover very similar to the Smart Cover , to which a protector made of fiberglass would be added that would cover the entire back of the new iPad 3.
In this way, Apple would be able to distinguish itself from its possible competitors in the accessories sector. In addition, the very medium that has leaked the information has commented that the case that could be most similar would be the one manufactured by the Incase company and its Magazine Jacket model. This bet on a combination between the two previous generations of covers. However, it has not been possible to know if this model will be exclusively used in the iPad 3 or, compatibility with the current model will be added. Movement, on the other hand, that did not occur between the first and second generation of iPads.
At seven in the afternoon - peninsular time - one of Apple's famous Keynotes will begin. On this occasion, the ship will be commanded by Tim Cook - Steve Jobs' successor - who will be in charge of showing the new team on which they have been working over the last few months. Some of the features that are pointed or rumored are: possible Retina Display with a higher resolution; best photo camera; will debut a new generation of processors, among some other things.
Lastly, the iPad 3 might not catch everyone's eye. And, quite possibly it is the occasion to get hold of the current version (iPad 2) at a lower price. Just what happened with the original iPad that lowered its price around 100 euros all its versions until the stock ran out.
