Rumors about the new version of Apple's tablet continue. From Digitimes came news that the Cupertino company would intend to release two different models next year. And now, from the same source, there are news regarding the battery capacity that the new iPad 3 would have. Apparently, its capacity would double compared to the current model: the iPad 2.
The battery improvement would only be reflected in the iPad 3, the most powerful and renewed version of the two that Apple supposedly wants to present throughout the next month of January. To be more specific, the current battery of the iPad 2 has a capacity of 6,500 milliamps, while the rumored version would get a battery that would reach 14,000 milliamps.
Neither dates, nor battery capacities, nor technical characteristics, discovered so far, have been confirmed by Apple. However, Digitimes is a medium that has been characterized by advancing information in the form of rumors. According to the source, they contacted Apple's battery suppliers, Simplo Technology and Dynapack, and declined to answer questions related to their customers.
Finally comment that, other sources placed the launch of the new Apple tablet for February, more specifically for the birthday (February 24) of its recently deceased CEO Steve Jobs. On that occasion there was no talk of a second version or a revision of the current model; a tactic that has been followed with the iPhone 4 and the new iPhone 4S model.
