Much she is talking about the presence of a Retina display on the iPad 3, the next tablet of Apple. When we talk about Retina, we mean a panel that reproduces a definition capable of developing a high concentration of pixels per inch. In the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4, this is at a rate of 326 dpi, something that a year ago was difficult to think about on the iPad's 9.7-inch screen.
However, recent indications are committed to the presence of a screen twice the resolution seen before on iPad and iPad 2, from 1,024 x 768 pixels to 2,048 x 1,534 pixels. However, the presence of a high resolution screen on the iPad 3 would not be the only thing that mattered among the features of the iPhone 4S.
As we have learned through Boy Genius Report, the person in charge of the iLounge site, Jeremy Horwitz, would have accessed an Apple report detailing some technical characteristics of the new tablet, and more than one point of the technical profile is reminiscent of that of the latest phone from the Cupertino signature.
So, for example, the iPad 3 would have, again, a rear camera. But unlike the sensor disappointing iPad 2 I -endowed with a photo resolution of 0.7 megapixels, and a video quality based on a horizontal canvas of 720 lines, albeit with some results leave much to be desired if not count with the appropriate lighting-, in the new tablet they would bet on a high quality unit.
This would offer eight megapixels of high quality pictures. However, it is unknown whether it will be the same sensor as that of the iPhone 4S, which offers very good video quality in its maximum FullHD setting, as well as an optimal response even in low light in the scene.
On the other hand, the secondary camera - oriented especially towards the Facetime application - would also gain in resolution, offering results very similar to those of the latest Apple terminal for the catalog of smartphones.
Horwitz has also referred to the launch date that would supposedly be reflected in the report to which he refers, pointing out that, as in the case of the iPad 2, the iPad 3 would be presented in March, keeping the prices of the current tablet.
It does not mention the launch of the rumored iPad 2S, and limits itself to pointing out that Apple would be studying keeping the iPad 2 in its windows with a price reduction of between 100 and 200 dollars - between 77 and 150 euros, at the current exchange rate.
