Huawei usually stands out for its high range, the Mate series and the P series are the most powerful of the Chinese company, since they are usually the terminals that carry a better camera, the most complete processor and a very high RAM and storage configuration. But the truth is that Huawei also has other series with very good performance, and not precisely in the high range. An example is the Huawei Y. Specifically, the Y9, which inherits some of the characteristics of the most powerful models. Now this terminal has been renewed: the Huawei Y9s arrives with better cameras and processor, so you will want one.
In terms of design, we can see the Huawei Y9s as an inspiration for the Huawei P30, one of the latest flagship of the Chinese company. The back has the same finish, some gradient blue and purple tones that make it much more striking. The triple camera module is in the left area, at the top. It is accompanied by an LED flash and the Huawei logo at the bottom. The fingerprint reader is on the side. It is not the first time that we see a side fingerprint reader in Huawei phones, the Nova 5T also includes it.
The Chinese company has opted for an all-screen front, although the terminal mounts an LCD panel, and this requires some space on the edges. That is why we have a somewhat more pronounced bezel at the bottom, although not as much as we could expect in a mid-range mobile. There is no notch or frame at the top. Huawei has included a retractable camera system. This is automatic and raises the lens for selfies from the upper frame every time the terminal detects that we need the front camera. Again, it is not the first time that we see this mechanism in the company's mobiles, the Huawei P Smart Z was the first.

The camera improves on the new Huawei Y9s. A triple sensor is added on the rear for greater versatility in photography, and the configuration is very interesting. The primary sensor, which takes wide-angle (1x) photographs, is 48 megapixels. To save storage the camera shoots at a lower resolution. However, we can select the 48 MP mode from the camera app. The second sensor is an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle (0.5x) lens. The third camera is an 8 megapixel depth of field and is used for portrait mode.
In addition to this, a 16 megapixel retractable selfie camera is added.
Processor and RAM
This y9s features a Kirin 710F processor, an upgraded version of the 710 that includes GPU Turbo 3.0 for gaming performance. We do not know why they have not added the new Kirin 810 processor, which is focused on the mid-range, but with this 710 and its 6 GB of RAM we will have more than enough for day to day.
The Huawei Y9s has been announced in China. At the moment it is unknown if it will arrive in Spain. Its price is 240 dollars, which would be about 215 euros to change.
