The Asian company Huawei will be present at the next technological event of MWC 2015, and although at first it is not confirmed that it will present the new Huawei P8, some new leaked images have allowed us to know what this smartphone will look like. The Huawei P8 will become the successor to the current Huawei Ascend P7 (remember the disappearance of the name “Ascend”), and these photographs confirm that its casing -or, at least, the side edges of it- will be of metal.
The images do not reveal the appearance of either the front or the back of the Huawei P8, since the mobile seems to appear protected by a case that covers a large part of its design. Still, you can see that at the bottom of the Huawei P8 will be located the speakers and microUSB output, while at the top of the terminal will be located the output minijack 3.5 mm. And if we take into account the previously filtered photography, we can also confirm that the side edges of the screen will be noticeably thinner compared to the edges of the Ascend P7.
In addition to the images of the Huawei P8 design, the leak distributed by the Italian website HDBlog has also been accompanied by images that show both the interface of this smartphone and the results of a performance test. The results of this test are particularly interesting, since in terms of performance they place the Huawei P8 very close to the performance of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and even put it ahead of the results of other mid-range mobile phones such as the OnePlus One, the HTC One M8 or the Huawei Ascend Mate 7.
But the design is not the only feature we know about the Huawei P8. Previous leaks have allowed us to know that this smartphone will be presented with a screen of 5.2 inches with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution, a processor HISILICON Kirin of eight cores running at a clock speed of 2GHz, 3 gigabytes of memory capacity RAM, 64 GigaBytes of internal storage (it is yet to be confirmed whether or not it will be expandable through an external memory card), a 13 megapixel main camerawith optical image stabilizer, a front camera of eight megapixels, a battery with 2,600 mAh capacity, the version of Android 5.0 Lollipop of the operating system Android and a thickness of six millimeters.
Some rumors indicate that the Huawei P8 will be presented during the month of April. In any case, MWC 2015 begins on March 1, so in a matter of days we will have doubts as to whether Huawei finally decides to present its flagship during this technological event that takes place in Barcelona (Spain).
