No more than 24 hours have passed since the presentation of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro and it seems that we finally have among us the little brother of the P series. Although it has not been made official by Huawei in Spain, we can currently find the Huawei P30 Lite in the official page of Huawei. The device, with more differences than similarities with respect to its older brothers, has a triple camera, a screen around 6 inches and a design that replicates the lines of Huawei's high-end range are some of its main features. Will it be a significant improvement over the 2018 P20 Lite? We see it.

Screen and design that evolve compared to the Huawei P20 Lite
With the Huawei P30 Lite, the brand has decided not to risk implementing a design essentially traced to that of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro.
Glass-based materials, a raindrop-shaped notch and slightly less reduced frames are some of the details that characterize the design of the P30 Lite. As expected, the fingerprint sensor is located at the rear. No sensor under the screen or on the unlock button.
As for the screen of the Huawei P30 Lite, despite staying one step away from the AMOLED screen of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, it is an evolution with respect to the P20 Lite.
The technical data tells us that we are facing a 6.15-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD resolution and a 19.5: 9 ratio. Unlike its predecessor, the display boasts up to 96% color fidelity in the NTSC spectrum. We do not have data about the maximum brightness of it, but it is expected that it will exceed 480 nits of the P20 Lite screen.
Updated hardware with no apparent surprises
In the hardware section Huawei has not taken too much risk. Same configuration as other mobile phones of the brand such as Honor 8X or Honor 10 Lite.
In summary, we find a Kirin 710 processor that improves performance in multicore tasks by up to 68% and by 75% in single-core tasks, with significantly lower consumption. Along with the CPU, 6 GB of RAM and a storage capacity that reaches a base 128 GB. The latter, as in the P20 Lite, can reach up to 512 GB using micro SD cards.
The rest of the specifications are made up of a 3,340 mAh battery with fast charge, Bluetooth version 4.2 and NFC connectivity. In this aspect, we do not find many differences compared to the last generation.
The triple camera finally reaches the mid-range
The main novelty of the Huawei P30 Lite compared to the Huawei P20 Lite comes from the hand of the cameras.
The new mid-range of the Chinese brand consists of three sensors of 24, 8 and 2 megapixels with ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses. The main sensor has a focal aperture f / 1.8, and the wide-angle sensor has a gradual aperture of 120º. In the absence of confirmation from Huawei, it is not expected to integrate the camera modes included in the Huawei P30 and P30, such as the super zoom or the native night mode.
As for the rear camera, the P30 Lite mounts the same sensor as the P30 and P30 Pro, or at least with similar characteristics. 32 megapixels and an f / 2.0 focal aperture with enhanced selfies and face unlock functions.
Price and availability of the Huawei P30 Lite in Spain
Although Huawei has not made the presentation official in Europe, we know that the terminal will begin to be available from April 10 for a price of only 369 euros in its only version of 6 and 128 GB.
