Huawei is already working to bring Android 9 Pie to part of its current devices. Apparently, the first to update to the new version of the system would be the Huawei P20, its current flagship. It would do so next September, as reported by a company spokesperson. We imagine that it would also reach the P20 Pro and P20 Lite and then do the same in other terminals such as the Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro.
To be exact, Huawei would launch EMUI 9.0, based on the latest Android 9 system, at the Berlin IFA fair, which will be held from August 31 to September 5. Specifically, there is a company event set for that first day, so we hope it will be there when the news is delivered. In this way, the first to be updated would be the Huawei P20, which would receive Android 9 throughout the month of September. In any case, it will be necessary to be very attentive to know if the update will be launched only in China, or in all the markets where these terminals have been sold.
Just after the P20 get Android 9, it would be the turn of the Mate 10 family. There are no specific dates, but it is most likely that they will receive the update before the end of 2018. It should be noted that the successor to these models, the Mate 20, would come standard with Pie, so it would become one of the first mobile phones on the market to include this new version of the system as standard. It is very likely that this terminal will also be announced on August 31 at the IFA in Berlin.
