After echoing rumors until the last moment, we can finally say that the Huawei Mate 8 has just been officially presented. We are facing the successor to the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, which means that the Mate 8 is presented as a high-end phablet built on a metal body. The Mate 8 is powered by the latest processor from Huawei's factories, the HiSilicon Kirin 950, and is finally topped off by a six-inch screen. Of course, the global launch of the Huawei Mate 8 will have to wait until the first months of 2016.
And, for now, the Mate 8 has only been presented in China. But that does not mean that their availability is not going to include other countries, because the range Mate takes years to present in the European market, and it looks like the world premiere of the Mate 8 will have to wait until the event of the CES 2016 (in January).
Leaving availability aside, the Huawei Mate 8 is presented with a screen six inches to reach a resolution Full HD of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (the same resolution as that of the Huawei Mate S, with the difference that in this case the screen has a size of 5.5 inches). The Mate 8 is built on a metal casing (available in three colors: silver, gold and pink), and the presence of the fingerprint reader, located on the back of the mobile (under the main camera), could not be missing.
Speaking of technical specifications, the new Mate 8 of Huawei can boast incorporate a processor HISILICON Kirin 950 of eight cores (four cores Cortex-A72 running at a clock speed of 2.3 GHz and four cores Cortex-A53 running at 1, 8 GHz), and certainly that is one of the few technical characteristics that Huawei has confirmed in the presentation of this mobile (in addition to the version of the Android operating system that is installed as standard in the Mate 8, Android 6.0 Marshmallow).
For the rest of the features of the Mate 8 we have to refer to rumors about rumors of 3 / 4 gigabytes of RAM, 32 / to 64 gigabytes of internal memory, a main chamber 16 megapixels and a battery with 4,100 mAh of capacity. All these data have not yet been officially confirmed, so we must interpret them with some care.
The starting price of the Huawei Mate 8 has not been officially confirmed either, and we can be sure that we will not know any specific figure until the world presentation of this mobile takes place. So that we have a reference of the starting price that we can expect at the launch of the Mate 8 in Spain, it is enough that we know that the Huawei Mate S is currently distributed with a price that is around 650 euros.
