The Taiwanese HTC continues to take positions to fight the competition in the disputed segment of smartphones. The HTC Runnymede, as we already told you at the time, is a mobile that wants to hit hard using multimedia power and a spectacularly wide format as its main allies.
Not surprisingly, the HTC Runnymede develops no less than 4.7 inches of multi-touch screen, and taking as a squire to combat the prestigious sound seal Dr. Dre through the Beats audio system, which is sure to delight users. users who have a musical travel companion on their smart phone.
And to certify the sound quality that this HTC Runnymede uses, in the first official image that has been unveiled of this touch mobile you can see how, on the back cover, the BeatsAudio logo is printed. On the other hand, the design of the HTC Runnymede is very simple, and although following the format of other mobiles of the firm, it is more focused towards the minimalist than towards a baroque appearance.
Inside, the HTC Runnymede has a single-core processor with a speed of 1.5 GHz. It also adds 768 MB of RAM, which becomes 16 GB or 32 GB if we talk about storage capacity (expandable, in turn, with microSD memory cards). The camera of the HTC Runnymede has a maximum resolution for photos of eight megapixels, being HD 720p when recording video.
The system it carries is Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, with the HTC Sense 3.0 layer (one of the most applauded of all the Google system customizations). On the other hand, it should be noted that despite being a really wide mobile, the manufacturer has put the batteries in giving it an interesting thickness, at least, if we understand that for this size they have developed a profile of 9.9 millimeters.
At the moment it is not known when this device could go on sale, or if it will reach the European market, so we have to wait for the appointment for which HTC has summoned the media on September 20 to find out what doubts.
