The HTC One in its European edition has just received a new official update. It is a small patch of 205 MegaBytes that comes to solve a large part of the problems detected by users after the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update that this terminal received at the end of January. The update responds to the name of 4.19.401.11, and in principle it should already be available to all users who have purchased this smartphone in European territory.
As can be seen in the notification of this new update, the great novelty of this patch is the compatibility of the phone with a greater number of routers. One of the most troublesome errors that users have encountered when updating their HTC One to Android 4.4.2 KitKat is precisely the inability to connect to their home WiFi network. With this patch, the bug should be completely fixed. In addition to this important improvement, the update also includes other small additions that should solve any problem that the HTC community may be experiencing after the important update of the Android operating system.
To check if we can download and install this update we have two options:
- Wait until our phone notifies us automatically of the update, in which case we can download and install it as soon as it is available.
- Manually check if the update is already available. To do this we must enter " Settings " (the application represented with the icon of a gear), then " Phone information " and finally "System update ". From this menu we can check if the version of our phone coincides with the latest patch (4.19.401.11), and if it were not, we will simply have to click on the " Update " option.
Whatever the option that we plan to use to upgrade our phone, we do need to know is that in both cases it is essential that we download the patch connection using WiFi and having at least a 70% battery. Although the update does not take up much space, it is also more advisable to use the connectivity of our router to download the patch faster and without exhausting the data bonus that we have contracted on the phone.
Also remember that one of the latest smartphones from HTC to receive the update Android 4.4.2 Kitka t has been the HTC Butterfly S. In this case, no major bugs have been known that could have affected users who have downloaded and installed the update. Therefore, we can recommend with complete certainty the update of this smartphone since the latest version of Android introduces new features that completely renew the appearance of the terminal.
