The HTC One mini 2, the second edition of the compact version of the HTC One M8 presented back in May, landed in Spain during this same month of November. This has been confirmed by the Taiwanese company HTC, which has announced that the commercialization of the HTC One mini 2 in Spain will be carried out through The Phone House, while the starting price of this terminal will be set at 400 euros (remember that the launch price of the HTC One M8 reached 730 euros).
The HTC One mini 2 can already be reserved in its free version through The Phone House for a price of 400 euros, while the first units seem to start shipping from next November 14. At the moment the only case color available is gray, although it is to be assumed that in the coming days the availability of this terminal will also be extended to gold and silver.
In terms of its features, the HTC One mini 2 is a cheaper alternative to the HTC One M8 that maintains almost all its exterior design. At first sight, the main difference between the One mini 2 and One M8 is that the compact version does not include the double-chamber his older brother, besides the own size differences (137.43 x 65.04 x 10.6 mm with 137 grams in the compact version and 146.36 x 70.6 x 9.35 mm with 160 grams in the high - end version).
The technical specifications of the HTC One mini 2 based on a screen Super LCD2 of 4.5 inches with 1.280 x 720 pixel resolution (pixel density and display of 326 ppi). The processor that gives life to this smart phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with four cores which reaches a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. The RAM memory capacity is 1 GigaByte (while in the One M8 this capacity reaches 2 GigaBytes), and the internal storage space offers 16 GigaBytesexpandable through a microSD card of up to 128 GigaBytes. All other features are comprised of a main camera of 13 megapixels with autofocus and LED flash, support for the 4G (ultra-fast Internet) and a battery with 2,110 mAh capacity.
The operating system installed as standard on this smartphone corresponds to Android in its Android version 4.4.2 KitKat, and this is where a question appears that many users will probably be asking. It turns out that, a few days ago, HTC confirmed that it will update the mobile phones in the HTC One range to Android 5.0 Lollipop, the latest version of the Android operating system. This confirmation includes both the HTC One M8 and the previous HTC One M7, although there are also rumors that the HTC One mini 2 is another undisputed candidate to update to Android 5.0 Lollipop. For now, to verify the veracity of this information we have no choice but to wait until the beginning of next year 2015.
Recall that the HTC One mini 2 can already be booked in Spain with The Phone House for a price of 400 euros. The first units will begin shipping from November 14.
