The recently unveiled HTC One M8 from Taiwanese company HTC may soon receive an operating system update. Apparently, this manufacturer has decided to keep secret a novelty that the owners of this terminal resident in the United States are already receiving. We talked about a new way of energy saving special, which would reduce us to the minimum the entire operation of the mobile (processor, display brightness, connections, etc.) to squeeze the maximum battery at the times in which we is essential take advantage of every second of autonomy.
This power saving mode is very similar to the Stamina Mode that Sony introduces in some of its smartphones. This is not an option that we must use on a day-to-day basis, but rather it would be an emergency mode recommended for times when we have very little autonomy. In this case, all the user would have to do is activate the battery "emergency" mode so that the mobile would automatically apply the following changes to its operation:
- Less processor usage.
- Screen brightness reduced to a minimum.
- Vibration off.
- Data 3G / 4G disabled in time when the screen turns off.
- Priority when running lighter applications.
- Pedometer disabled.
These simple changes would allow us to obtain greater autonomy until we could charge the mobile battery. Although it is true that it is a configuration that the user can activate manually, it does not hurt to have a button that automatically configures all these options in a matter of a second.
At the moment it is an update only available in the United States, but the most logical thing is to suppose that users from the rest of the world also begin to receive this news on their own terminals. HTC has not made any statement in this regard, so we can only trust that the Taiwanese will not take long to release this file in the rest of the world.
Remember that to update the HTC One M8 to this new version the steps to follow are the following:
- First of all, we must enter the " Settings " application. We can find it in the list of applications on our mobile, and it is generally represented by a gear icon.
- Then click on the option " Telephone information ".
