As we learned in mid-April, the HTC One M7 (that is, the HTC One that hit stores at the beginning of 2013) would receive an update that would bring with it the new Sense 6 interface. And this news has just been confirmed with the launch of the update that is currently beginning to reach certain European countries. It is an update that comes in a file that occupies 680 MegaBytes, so it is advisable to download it using the WiFi connection.
The new features of the Sense 6 interface are not limited only to visual improvements in the design of the operating system of the HTC One. This update also brings improvements to implement Blinkfeed (a newsreader integrated into the main screen of the phone), bug fixes for camera application and implementation of Gallery, incorporating the new option of saving energy extreme and other small news aimed at improving the operation of the HTC One.
As for the visual novelties in the interface, users who update their mobile will find a slightly improved design in both the menus and the application icons. There are even new features in the operation of the mobile phone itself, since HTC has included a new button that will allow us to clear all the history of the applications that we have opened in the last session.
It is important that we know that this update will be distributed little by little as the different divisions of HTC in each country authorize this new version of the Sense interface. Therefore, it should not be surprising that there are countries that take a little longer to launch this same update in their territory. In addition, this update is only coming -for now- to free mobiles, so that users who have purchased the HTC One under any operator will have to wait some additional time to receive the same file on their mobile.
To download the update (and to check if we already have the file available for download in our country) all we have to do is enter the " Settings " application, and once inside, we must click on the " Information the phone ". Then we will see a new screen in which we have to click on the option "System update ". From here we only have to follow the steps that the mobile will indicate. In the event that the update is already available for download, we must confirm that we want to install it by clicking on the " Download " button.”And waiting for the phone to download and install the file. This process can take a couple of minutes, so it is recommended to have more than 70% autonomy on the battery to avoid problems during the installation of the update.
